Senior Business Analyst, Digital Banking

Job Purpose & Summary

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the delivery of an excellent and constantly improving Member experience across all DUCA’s digital banking channels.  This position will manage the channels supported by Digital Banking, execute the Digital Product Strategy, and implement projects that drive growth across all segments of our digital offerings.

Acting as the business support lead for Retail & Small Business, the Senior Business Analyst will assist with building Channel strategy and ensuring alignment to DUCA’s corporate strategy. Working closely with internal strategic partners including IT, Marketing, Retail, Small Business, Operations and Compliance teams in the successful roll-out of new digital products and services from the Member and Channel perspective.

Key Accountabilities & Duties

  • Perform competitive analysis to identify gaps in our current digital offerings
  • Identify new opportunities leveraging automation and improvement to digital channels
  • Work closely with internal cross-functional teams for prioritization and implementation of DUCA’s digital roadmap 
  • Provide regular robust data analytics of trends, opportunities, and benchmarking
  • Support project management activities for various digital projects involving any of the following channels: online, mobile, onboarding, lending, and digital product delivery
  • Review project scope and identify gaps and issues
  • Extensive stakeholder engagement including senior management 
  • Plan and lead meetings on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and user requirements.
  • Manage vendors to ensure products and services delivered meet specifications.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including IT, Marketing, Retail/Small Business, Credit, and Legal and Compliance in providing supporting information or clarifications that will be raised during launch of new capabilities and enhancements
  • Assist with timely resolution of digital banking issues
  • Raise Business Incidents for issues related to digital channel being managed
  • Escalate all high priority issues as required 

Occupational Experience & Education Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Technology, or a related field
  • Business Analysis training or certification
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Business Analyst role
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience leading small to mid-sized project management teams or workstreams
  • Experience working with web services, online technologies, and user interface design
  • Experience in digital platforms and various Member journey and product lifecycle activities
  • Exposure to managing digital experiences for Members in B2C/B2B across multi-channels
  • Experience in financial services and/or a credit union considered an asset

  • Ability to produce regular data driven measurement and analysis with proven research, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective presentation and influencing skills and the ability to interact with executive level business and technical partners
  • Knowledge of design, development, implementation, and user support principles and practices
  • Market-facing digital product management experience and success in defining and delivering successful digital products, UI/UX improvements and platforms.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with an understanding of business process management
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and the Adobe suite of products
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a track record of delivering results in fast-moving environments
