Marketing Coordinator

DUCA is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic team!

Job Purpose & Summary

Reporting to the VP, Marketing and working closely with the Communications & Public Relations Specialist, the Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for supporting and coordinating DUCA’s marketing initiatives. The main focus of the Marketing Coordinator will be to support and champion DUCA’s growing retail channels (branch and Mobile Mortgage Specialists) and local and community advertising and outreach activities. . The incumbent will have exceptional organizational, prioritization, and communication skills as they manage multiple projects and stakeholders at any one time.  

Key Accountabilities & Duties

  • Support branch and local marketing initiatives
    • Act as the first point of contact for branch and MMS marketing support
    • Coordinate and help execute the local print media plan
    • Coordinate activities related to OOH (Out-of-Home) plan
    • Support the planning and execution of targeted direct mail programs
    • Support the planning and coordination of local and community events and promotion projects
    • Coordinate and/or execute on the delivery of customized marketing materials to various DUCA stakeholders
    • Coordinate marketing material distribution
    • Branch monitor content monitoring and placement
  • Provide general marketing support
    • Support the execution of major campaigns
    • Coordinate  mailings of marketing or campaign materials, including list generation, production, supervision of execution through external vendors
    • Assist with planning and coordination of DUCA’s corporate initiatives, including Board of Directors elections, Annual General Meeting, etc.
    • Maintain and manage the marketing inventory and marketing resource library, including online and Intranet content
    • Work with other departments (Facilities, IT, Operations, Finance, Compliance) to facilitate smooth execution of project deliverables

Occupational Experience & Education Requirements

  • Post secondary education in related field or relevant work experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in the financial services industry, in marketing, sales support or customer-facing environment

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • Strong organization, prioritization and, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and the expectations of multiple stakeholders at one time
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrates a “can-do” attitude and excellent customer service skills when working with stakeholders, demonstrating a passion for supporting them as they grow the business
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with above-average numeracy skills
  • Highly proficient in MS Office suite of products and familiarity with or ability to learn InDesign, Photoshop, and other design and website management programs
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry is an asset
  • Self-starter with a zest for coming to the table with unique ideas and solutions

Working Conditions

  • Occasional travel to one of DUCA’s 16 branch locations or attendance of community, industry or corporate events in the GTA may be required
