Retail Analyst, Sales & Member Experience

Reporting to the Manager, Retail Financial Planning & Analysis, the Retail Analyst, Sales & Member Experience is responsible for the preparation and delivery of performance reporting and analysis to support the Retail Banking channels’ member experience and sales strategy. The primary mandate of this role is the production of Retail Sales reports and dashboards, highlighting business performance results. The Retail Analyst will track business performance in relation to annual sales, efficiency and operating Plans, reporting individual, team, and channel results, forecasting volumes and providing key insights from analysis on a consistent basis.

Key Accountabilities & Duties

  • Deliver regular reporting and analysis to support Retail Banking channels’ Member Experience, Sales Strategy and Annual Operating Plans
  • Ensure Retail Sales dashboards are updated regularly with Branch and Member Connect performance results in relation to Annual Sales and Efficiency Plans
  • Calculate and submit commission payouts owed to Mobile Mortgage and Wealth employees
  • Monitor and prepare Retail expenditure reports
  • Assist in the development and implementation of tracking and metrics for specific campaigns, highlighting gaps and successes to assist Retail teams in coaching to improve performance
  • Prepare reports and analysis for retail channels performance with respect to DUCA’s Playbook, Net Promoter Scores and Member experience measures
  • Prepare reporting and analysis of Member feedback to assist Management in improving and optimizing our Member Experience
  • Support the design and delivery of repeatable analysis and reporting that combines data sources across various data systems and channels
  • Collaborate with internal partners to leverage and improve existing reporting and data management systems
  • Provide analytical support for new Retail initiatives
  • Maintain awareness of data management systems, trends and best practices in data analysis and reporting

Occupational Experience & Education Requirements

  • Post-Secondary education in related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 2-3 years of data reporting and analysis experience preferred
  • Experience in or knowledge of retail banking considered an asset
  • Completion of relevant courses, certificate or education in analysis, data management technology, or statistics considered an asset

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • Demonstrate advanced reporting and data analytics skills
  • Exceptional communication skills: written, verbal, presentation delivery
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, macros) and other Microsoft products
  • Experience with other data management technologies considered an asset (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, SAS)
  • High level of business acumen; understanding of the retail banking environment an asset
  • Able to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail skills
  • Collaborates well in a team environment
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
