Director, Relationship Management, Foreign Exchange

DUCA is looking for a Director, Relationship Management, Foreign Exchange to join our growing team! 

Job Purpose & Summary

The Director, Relationship Management is responsible for leading the Foreign Exchange (FX) Relationship Management function and driving the team’s acquisition, retention, and growth of business opportunities – both within DUCA’s membership base, as well as outside of DUCA’s membership base – through targeted outreach to individuals and the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) market.

The role oversees the recruitment, coaching, performance management, and development of Relationship Managers while maintaining personal involvement in key business development activities. The incumbent is responsible for establishing and executing sales strategies, building a high-performing team, developing new member relationships, and ensuring exceptional service throughout the member lifecycle.

Key Accountabilities & Duties

  • Recruit and develop a team of Relationship Managers to focus on Member acquisition and building profitable relationships to achieve FX sales volume goals.
  • Achieve profitable FX sales targets by providing leadership, direction, and ongoing coaching to a team of Relationship Managers, building employee engagement through focused coaching and sales routines.
  • Establish clear sales objectives, activity expectations, and performance standards for the Relationship Management team.
  • Support Relationship Managers in managing complex client opportunities, negotiations, and relationship development.
  • Monitor individual and team performance against established targets and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategies, market initiatives, and business plans for the Foreign Exchange channel.
  • Ensure that sales performance, service level metrics, financial results and other performance data are communicated with clarity and provide the information necessary to understand trends, issues, and opportunities.
  • Lead and manage day-to-day relationship with Foreign Exchange technology vendors; ensuring the effective utilization of technology to offer clients a branded customer. portal for trading, payments, compliance, and onboarding
  • Identify, prospect, and qualify potential new members and SMEs across a defined jurisdiction through market research, networking, referrals, cold calling, emails, and other outreach initiatives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing members, focusing on long-term value creation and client satisfaction.
  • Foster a sales culture of goal achievement, continuous improvement, and member-focused service excellence.
  • Maintain high standards of ethics and integrity; adhere to DUCA’s Code of Conduct and any associated legal, compliance, or information security requirements.

Occupational Experience & Education Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, or related field
  • 6-8 years of experience in FX sales, relationship management, financial services, business development, or a related field
  • 5+ years people leadership experience managing sales teams
  • Proven success driving business growth through outbound prospecting and member acquisition

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • Expert knowledge of foreign exchange products, international payments, and financial services solutions.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, train, and develop high-performing sales teams.
  • Excellent business development, prospecting, and relationship management skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM and trading platform technologies.
  • Ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly motivated, results-driven, and customer-focused.
  • Sound judgment with a disciplined approach to risk management

Salary: The annual salary range for this position is $102,250 to $127,813  Actual annual base salaries will vary depending on relevant job-related factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and education/training. This position may be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
