Manager, Change Acceleration 

DUCA is looking for a Manager, Change Acceleration to join our growing team! 

Job Purpose & Summary

Reporting to the VP, Change Acceleration & Learning, the Manager, Change Acceleration contributes to the execution and delivery of strategic initiatives and projects within the People & Culture (P&C) portfolio.  Leveraging a structured approach to change management, this position will determine and recommend tactics to embed changed behaviours and activities into a new way of working across the organization. 

In addition to determining the most effective communications strategy to accelerate the implementation of P&C initiatives, the Manager, Change Acceleration will create and execute the overall communications plan and associated content. Acting as the lead for P&C driven initiatives, this position partners with stakeholders to track, monitor, and report on the progress of P&C initiatives and the activities required to meet and accelerate key deliverables.  

Key Accountabilities & Duties

  • Consistently demonstrate and embed DUCA’s values of “Bringing out the best in others”, “Doing what’s right even when it’s difficult”, and “Making what’s possible happen” into all change acceleration activities
  • Lead change acceleration activities for assigned P&C driven initiatives; track, monitor and report on the progress of deliverables for P&C initiatives and projects; create templates, forms, and other documents required to support P&C initiatives
  • Recommend communication strategies and tactics to effectively accelerate the implementation of P&C initiatives; develop overall communication plans including recommendations for appropriate channels and cadence; partner with internal stakeholder to create associated content 
  • Partner with the Learning team to review materials and provide guidance and advice to ensure change acceleration concepts are applied
  • Conduct research, collect and/or consolidate data to provide insightful analysis and recommendations that enable senior level decision making required for detailed business cases and project plans for the P&C team
  • Approve applicable documentation related to P&C initiatives prior to roll-out to the broader organization ensuring the best practice change acceleration methodology is applied
  • Partner with key stakeholder groups and project teams to ensure ongoing alignment with agreed upon deliverables and outcomes; assess any delays and gain agreement with stakeholders on next steps while balancing project timelines and associated risks 
  • Synthesize information from employee input sources owned by P&C; Pull out key findings for actioning and recommend measurement impact analysis of P&C owned action items
  • Act as the lead for P&C team and other meetings; determine cadence and content as needed; facilitate project meetings or workshops; document minutes capturing risks, actions, issues, and decisions
  • Assist with the prioritization of P&C initiatives and projects; work with VP, Change Acceleration & Learning and the Chief People & Culture Officer to support other activities required to accelerate the adoption of the applicable strategic initiatives

Occupational Experience & Education Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in communications, business administration, or related field
  • 5-7 years’ experience supporting the implementation and acceleration of strategic initiatives
  • 3 years’ experience working in communications, with preference given to Internal Communications positions
  • PMP designation or Agile Certification an asset
  • AIM accreditation an asset
  • Experience in requirements gathering, assessment, and analysis
  • Experience in the financial services industry an asset

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to proactively and tactfully manage multiple stakeholders and workstreams
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and various communications tools and programs
  • Effective project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines

Salary: The annual salary range for this position is $80,494 to $100,617. Actual annual base salaries will vary depending on relevant job-related factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and education/training. This position may be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
