DUCA is looking for a Member Service Officer (MSO) to join the Richmond Hill team on contract for approximately 1-year, beginning in June 2017! The ideal candidate is someone who is enthusiastic, service and sales oriented and conscious of delivering great customer service to our members.

Richmond Hill Branch Hours:

Mon to Wed: 9:30 am to 5:00 pm
Thur: 9:30 am to 7:00 pm 
Fri: 9:30 am to 5:00 pm 
Sat: 9:30 am to 1:00 pm

Job Summary

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the MSO is responsible for maintaining a daily cash, completing branch administrative duties, and growing and maintaining relationships with our members by promoting all of DUCA’s products.  In addition to regular Member Service Representative (MSR) duties, the MSO will also provide supervision and support to the MSRs with balancing, dealing with errors, and answering questions regarding products and procedures.

Position Description

  • Provides courteous service to Members (both at the front line and/or by phone), answer inquiries and always strive to increase Member satisfaction through service provided.
  • Opens new accounts, reviews member needs and promotes the appropriate DUCA products and/ or services by explaining benefits of financial products.
  • Actively participates in all branch activities and campaigns in order to generate revenue and sales to achieve performance targets.
  • Provides supervisory support, including overrides, feedback and coaching to MSRs.
  • Cross selling DUCA’s products and services.
  • Take loan/mortgage applications and assist with documentation and credit bureaus.
  • Resolves problems at first point of contact where possible and refers more complex Member concerns to appropriate staff.
  • Completes branch administration duties as required, including: holds report, NSF report, daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations of ATM, treasuries and CRU.
  • Other duties as assigned from Branch Manager.

Skills Required

  • Post-secondary education, and a minimum of 3 years banking experience
  • Loan and mortgage knowledge and experience considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of all banking products and services
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
  • Ability to relate well with others
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Proficiency in Windows
